Safeway: $50 worth of Groceries for FREE Delivered! UPDATE!

Just wanted to let you all know that there have been several readers that have e-mailed me saying they have received their orders and got charged the CORRECT amounts! :)

*HOT UPDATE*- *To make this deal even better... go through ShopAtHome.com! You’ll get $9 cash back from your purchase and a $5 sign up bonus. Just GO HERE, login or register and click through the Safeway link they provide. So after this, you're getting $50 worth of groceries for FREE PLUS making $2!!! Woohoo!

OR you can go through Ebates and you will get $5 Cash Back on your purchase and a $5 sign-up bonus! You can sign up here or go here to learn more about Ebates!

If you live by a Safeway that does online orders and delivery, you will want to get in on this deal! This is for new customers only and takes a little work but you will be getting $50 worth of food for just $7!!

*Go to safeway.com and click on "FREE delivery" on the right side.
*Add $47 of groceries from the Buy 1 Get 1 FREE items (make sure these are b1g1 free items only)
*Then search "safeway water" and add (1) - 24 pack of water ($3.59)
*Then, use coupon code VALPAK15 to get $15 off instantly at checkout
*Also, use code refreshe24 to get the case of water for FREE
*Then, since it's your first order they will provide you with a coupon code to enter (you will see it above where you are entering the codes) and it will give you FREE delivery!

So this is what you're getting:

$47 worth of B1G1 items
$4 water
------
= $50
------
- $15 valupak15
- $5 water code refreshe24
-$23.50 B1G1 discount
-$9 cash back from Shop at Home
--------
FINAL PRICE = FREE for $50 worth Delivered + $2 moneymaker!!!

*IMPORTANT NOTE- This is what is states about B1G1 - "Any applicable Buy One Get One Free discounts will be reflected on your final receipt at the time of delivery." So just make sure you are getting the correct B1G1 FREE items. :)

*Another NOTE- There are some more codes you can try if the others aren't working - Reader, MMMgoode just said this:

"They don't deliver in my area, so I'm donating to a food bank they do deliver too. I confirmed with CS that this would work. For some reason valupak15 wasn't working for me, but CJSAVINGS and DEALTAKERCJ both do $15 off and free shipping w/ first delivery CANNOT BE COMBINED."

  3. I got it! I even called customer service to see if they really will refund my buy 1 get 1 items since they don't reflect in the total yet and she said yes they do not actually charge for them once the items are delivered! Thank you this is AWESOME!

  4. i have a question, it keeps telling me that some of the items are on special offer through today only so if they deliver after today i have to pay full price!

    ReplyDelete
  5. you may want to order different BOGO items so you're sure to get them at the BOGO price.

    ReplyDelete
  6. When does this deal expire??

    ReplyDelete
  7. anyone have a good deal scenario? Does it have to be exactly $47 worth of bogo items?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Super excited about this! With a 5 year old and a 7 month old, I haven't been able to do much coupon shopping....this just saved me a trip to the store AND I saved a ton of money. Thanks!

  9. hmm, its stating that the bogo promotion for items in my cart be over by the time my order ships ( tomorrow, no shipping left for today) so I wont get the bogo?

  14. Do you have to add the water? When I entered the water code it says "24 pack will automatically be added to your order"... I don't want to end up with 2 and paying for one. Thanks for posting! Saving me a trip to the store today!!

  15. Does anyone know if the $47 is before or after adding 2 for quantity to get the B1G1? My total after discounts is still coming to $16 and change..

  16. Nice. 2- beef cross rib roast (3#), 2- Jimmy dean turkey sausage crumb, 2- BB tuna salads, 2 cookies and 1 24 pk water for $ 7.38. WOW now that is sweet! Thanks so much

    ReplyDelete
  19. is there a deadline on when this deal has to be done? Do we have to do it today? I am at work I cant do it here :(
I was thinking i cud do it tonite; I hope i can still do it tonite

  20. Just did it. My total: $50.77
    subtract $23.74 (BOGO)
    subtract $19.95 (Promo Codes)
    = $7.08 TOTAL
    woohoo!

  21. Ebates.com has $5 off

    ReplyDelete
  22. I tried to do this but when I'm ready to "pay" it says my cart needs to be at least $50 for delivery. Anybody else received this message?

  23. This worked for me. I ordered 4-3lb packages of chicken breasts ($11.69 x 4 = $46.76) and added the water ($3.89) for a total of $50.65. All of the coupons worked just as described so my total at checkout was around $30. I should be getting another $23 off for the BOGO so my total is $7 with $9 cash back at ShopatHome. This is great! Thank you for the post!!

  24. I noticed that when you put in the refreshe24 code it states that it will automatically add a 24 pack of water to your cart. So...wondering if that means we shouldn't be adding the water ourselves. Seems to me we will end up getting two 24 packs and paying for one of them. Anyone else notice this?? I didn't see it in my cart after the code, but I'm wondering if it will come in my order.

  25. Diana and Kikashi- My order said the same thing but when I look in my order history it says it went through and is scheduled for delivery?? I also got a confirmation email with a higher price and no free delivery. I'll be canceling this.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I found out what the $50 requirement issue is! I called customer service, and they said I had pressed the order button twice ;) If you look at your account, and your order history, it will show that your order has been placed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. By the way, the confirmation email has the wrong total on it. I called customer service (again--*sigh*), and they said that all of my promotions will actually come through to my bill, even though they don't show in the email :D

    ReplyDelete
  28. I added the water on to my cart, and when I added the code it put another case of water. I just edited my cart and took out the first water, and it worked like a charm.

  29. pls help, when cheking out it shows me estimated total of 33.55, i ordered 2 chicken breasts @11 each, 2 salads @ 4 each and 2 vitamins @ 10 each, total was litle over $50, it took off 19.99$ prootional discount, but not the buy 1 get 1. should i pay and it will adjust or did i do somthing wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I placed an order for me and one for my MIL. When I got the email confirmations it only shows the credit for the water, but not the $15 promo, even though it looked like it went through in the order. Is anyone else's order showing this? I want to cancel if I am not going to get the $15.

  31. Hard to believe that this will work, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping! We'll be set for oatmeal for a long time if it goes through!

    ReplyDelete
  32. looks like refreshe24 is no longer working

    ReplyDelete
  33. I couldn't use the refreshe24 code so I removed the item from my cart. Also could not use the valupak15 code (invalid) but found another online "SEARCH" and it worked just fine.

Crossing my fingers the total bill is corrected with the BOGO items.

  34. I'm curious... do I have to put in a code for the b1g1 free? I'm not understanding how that works out.. I get the free shipping and $15, but is Safeway doing a b1g1 free discount on your first order? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  35. well, its not working. Can not combine the VALPAK15 code with the REFRESHE24 code...its one or the other.

    ReplyDelete
  36. ? How do you get the $9.00 from shop at home? I am new to this but will see how i do on the grocery trip at safeway. It would not take the refresh24 coupon.
It did say at checkout that b1g1 items will be discounted at time of final order is done. So i wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  37. FYI: you are charged on the initial receipt for all items (this is how you get the b1g1) then one of each bogo is taken off at the last step before delivery. so if you bought all bogo items it should be half the amount of your total order deducted at final check out. hope this helps some

  38. I took delivery this morning. It worked perfectly! I'm THRILLED!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Today when i tried it. it says promos cannot be combined...Do you think they fixed it?

    ReplyDelete
  40. This worked for me in Las Vegas at Vons. We do not have much of a selection to chose from, but there was enough to do the deal. (I will have peppers and pickles for awhile ☺). The total on my email did not reflect the bogo, but I figured that if it was wrong at delivery, I would just refuse it. It went through for $7.73! Thank you so much!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. my conf email said $48 but I decided to wait and see. Sure enough...4packages ground turkey, 4 jars salsa, 2 boxes oatmeal and 1 case water delivered.
    $9
    woot!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. the water code isn't working..which is fine. I did $57.72 in B1G1 items pre-codes. I do this this message on the order confirmation screen, though: "50.00 minimum purchase amount is required on your final receipt to process and deliver your order. If your final receipt amount totals less than $50.00, your order may not be processed and you will be notified via e-mail."
so we'll see how it goes.
