I got all this for FREE and actually MADE $16.00!!!!!

Ok so I told some viewers that I would explain how I got ALL of these items FREE! If you click on the picture you can see a bigger picture of it.
I got all the razors from Smith's and the rest from Rite Aid.

So for the razors: Smith's has them on sale right now for $2.88 (and in the picture below you can see that they are priced at Target right now (which is actually a sales price) for $6.49 each. So, I had my $3/1 coupons that I have saved up from THIS POST. Click on that to get some yourself. So my total with tax for the razors was $2.88 X 10 = 30.60 (w/tax) - 10 $3 Coupons = $0.60  Out of pocket (So I guess you could say I paid 60 cents for 10 razors!!!) The razors themselves were actually FREE! This is a deal you can still get in on right now.

Targets price! I would have paid $65 dollars for the 10 razors I got for FREE!!!!

Now for the rest that I got from Rite Aid...
I had Up Rewards which I will call UP+. (That is what they call them in the store). They are on certain products that you buy kind of like a catalina. Which is an amount of money that you can spend on your next order. So I had $10 in UP+ rewards from the Air wick I-motion air fresheners. Which were on sale last week for $4.99 and I have 10 $4.00 of coupons from the Sunday paper. That made them $1 each but each one had a $1 UP+. So at the end I got them for FREE and got $10 UP+ for todays shopping spree.

First what you need to do is GO HERE and sign up for Rite Aid Video Values (VV). It is a way to get Rite Aid specific coupons that CAN be combined with manufacturer coupons so you can get some GOOD DEALS. You watch a video for each coupon and each video is around 30 seconds to 1.5 minutes. You can only print one coupon for the product you watched the video on so you can have someone else in your family sign up and print them for you or even have your husband or friend sign up and watch the videos and then you can print them. I don't see anything wrong with doing it that way to get more coupons because the point of the video is to act as a commercial and advertise the product so if you are having someone else watch it, it is reaching more people. So below I will explain my deal plan. I got my coupons from the Video Values and from 9/12 newspaper inserts. RP, SS

Ok so here is my DEAL PLAN!
(Note- I had to ring them up in 2 different transactions to take advantage of 2 of the $5 off of $25 which can be found in VV or in 9/12 paper. (Q stands for coupon and UP+ stands for the amount that will print out as store credit when I put $1/1 that means $1.00 off of 1 and VV means video values).

First order
(We need to get to $25 so we can use the $5 off of $25 Q found on VV which is a RITE AID coupon and this total is calculated before we use the coupons, just make sure they scan this coupon FIRST before the other coupons so you're at the $25!).

Scope $2.50 X 4 = $10.00 - .75/1 Q x 4 = $7 (1.50 up+ each so $6 up+)
Johnsons baby $3.99 X 4 = $16.00 - $1/1 (9/12 SS) $1/1 VV = $8 ($1 up+ each so $8up+)
THAT WAS THE FIRST ORDER.
$7+ $8 =  $15.00 this is the amount after coupons but as you can see before the coupons the total was $26.00 - $5 off $25 Q from VV remember scan this before the other coupons. (I used my $10 UP+ from the Air Wick and paid .50! But REMEMBER, I am getting back $14.00 UP+ for my next order so that makes all of these items FREE.

Second order
We are going to get to $25 again to get another $5.00 off!

Maybelline mascara $3.00 X 4 = $12.00 - $2/1 VV x 4 = $4 ($1 UP+ each so $4 UP+)
Trident gum 3 for $3.00 x 12 = $12 - $1/3 Q 9/12 SS & .50/3 VV = $6 ($1 up+ for every 3 so $4 up)
Motts applesauce 4/$5 x 8 = $10 - $1.50/2 Q albertsons Q booklet= $6 ($$2.50 up+ for 4 so $5up)
THIS WAS THE SECOND ORDER.
$4 + $6 + $6 = $16.00 This is the total after coupons but don't forget we would have used the $5/25 at the beginning so that brings it down to $11.00! Now, use your UP+ Rewards from the previous transaction and you will still have $3.00 in UP+ rewards and $13 from this order so now you have a total of $16.00 in UP+ rewards to spend on your next transaction!!

TIP- SAVE those rewards until next weekly ad so that way you never have to pay out of your pocket, you can just keep using those because next order you do will have UP+ rewards too...of course you have to plan it out this way, but that is how you can continue to get FREE items at Rite Aid.

And please don't be confused or overwhelmed, just read over this slowly and if you need, take out a calculator and do the numbers yourself so you can get a feel for it and understand it better. I know that definately helped me when I was trying to get the hang of couponing! The only way you are going to REALLY learn is to go out there and do it yourself, maybe start out small only doing a couple things, and make sure you are all prepared before you go to the register. Once I am done shopping I always stand in a not so busy aisle and organize which coupons I am using and figure out if I need to do seperate orders. (Like today when I did two orders because I knew I was going to be over $50 so why not use two of the $5/$25 coupons and that is why I split the orders into two.

Please feel free to ask me ANY questions, I want to help you.

  1. So, how do you get ahold of items that are not only featured on VV but also available for a manufactures coupon? Does Albertsons have a Q booklet in the Sunday paper which has Man. coupons in it as well.

  2. One more thing...are the Up+ Rewards the piece of paper that prints out after your receipt or something that has to do with their Rewards card? Thank you!

  3. Hey, so no Albertsons had a little coupon booklet at the front of there store and it was full of manuf coupons. I always check for this when I go into stores. Walgreens has one right now too that is full of walgreens store coupons that can be combined with manuf coupons. Yes the UP+ print out ON your receipt so be careful you don't throw it away. They are at the bottom and it will print one for each item and put the amount and what item you bought to earn the UP+.

  4. What is the best way to shop at walgreens the managers have told me you can not use register reward to pay for other items that you would get register reward for. will you can but you dont get the register rewards from that purchase

  5. That's true about the RR at Walgreens and that's a big reason I like Rite Aid better, because you can roll the register rewards. I would recommend doing separate transactions at Walgreens if you want to get multiple register rewards. Sometimes I will do item A first then item B in the second transaction that also has a RR and then use item A's RR from the first transaction. Then use the reward I get from item B on another transaction buying item A again... (Just keep going back and forth with 2 items) so you can spend the least amount out of pocket. Also, pay at the "cosmetics counter". The cashier gets a bonus on any beauty products you get there )so it puts them in a better mood) and that way you don't have a line behind you when you're doing several transactions.

  6. Hi Sarah,
So glad that I found you and I can't wait to start saving. I watched your video on the coupon binder and I love how you have it set up. You referenced that you have a printable list of your categories on the site, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks for your help.
